The state of the natural man
‘For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23, KJV)
‘Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. (Psalms 51:5, KJV)
‘But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. (Isaiah 64:6, KJV)
The results of sin
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. Eze18:20
For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23, KJV) Read also Romans 1:18- 32
Why God decided to save us
God loved us very much and we could not save ourselves because of sin.
‘But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. (Isaiah 64:6, KJV)
‘16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved’ (John 3:16-17)
The how of salvation
‘And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. (Hebrews 9:22, KJV)
‘For the life of the flesh [is] in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it [is] the blood [that] maketh an atonement for the soul. (Leviticus 17:11, KJV)
‘9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9, KJV)

Father thank you for salvation through the cross. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins. I believe that he rose again and he is seated at the right hand of God. Please forgive me of my sins, come into my heart and be my Lord and saviour.
