Psalm 23:4
Have you ever encountered a situation where you had to undergo a process, a procedure or to go through something you just didn’t want to do? Maybe you were afraid or felt that you wouldn’t choose that path for yourself; were you to be in control of all decisions to do with your life.
This is where you are not sure of the outcome, as it is not in plain black or white.
I have walked through many such paths, where I often said to the Lord that it is a very difficult path, and I don’t want to take it; I wouldn’t have chosen that for myself if I had the option. Sometimes, I have cried because I have to walk on that path, other times remaining silent and processing the whole thing before accepting to take the path.
That is the valley of the shadow of death. You see the shadows staring at you and all you want to do is to run away from them, but in order to know who God is , you have to trust him by giving him your hand and allowing him to take you through that situation.
In the end, you get to know that our God is faithful and that His word is true.
David said in Psalm 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
One thing the good shepherd has said is that, He will be with us.
How can we know whether this word is true? Go through the valley and trust Him or take Him at His word . This is how we can prove Him and see how true His word is.
The psalmist said in Psalm 56:3 “ What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. “
Let’s pray 🙏
Father thank you that You are faithful to Your word. Your word is light that shines on our path directing us to make the right choices. Remind us to trust in You when we are afraid.
Amen

The best way to prove him is to trust him in those uncertain moments.
