Love defined

1 cor 13:4-5

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged.”

How do we define LOVE? We all have different answers I can guess. What we call love differs from one person to another; hence the reason why we have LOVE LANGUAGES.
Real love touches the heart. It is others centred not self centred.

From the scripture above,
Love is when I am kind;
Love is when I am patient with others:;
Love is when I am not rude;
Love is when I am not jealous;
Love is when I am not selfish;
Love is when I don’t have my file of the wrong doings of others and constantly checking (😀🥳- mercy LORD)

Do we have these qualities by ourselves? No. The word of God says the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit; “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.” (Rom 5:5 NLT).

If we desire to walk in love as the Lord wants us to as stated in Eph 5:2, then we need to pray for the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with the Love of God. It is the greatest thing that will last forever.

1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT

“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.”

Let’s pray 🙏
Father thank you for your love for the whole the world. Thank you that you did not send your son to condemn us although we have all sinned, but He rather became our sacrifice. Please fill our hearts with your Spirit so that we can be like you .
Amen 🙏

Love is …..
