David was happy when he was invited to go to church because he loved God and had his love in his heart.
There are so many things that we have a love for. We are happy to see someone that we love, we are happy to visit places that we love, we are happy to play games and watch movies that we love etc. But do we have the love of God in our hearts so that when it is time to seek him, we feel happy to go into his presence? Are we bored to go to church or to read our bibles or anything to do with God? It is a sign that our love level for God is low.
2 Thess 3:5 says “And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ.” As loving God is the greatest commandment ( Matt 22:37), let us constantly ask God to direct our hearts into his love.
