“So if you are standing before the altar in the Temple, offering a sacrifice to God, and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you,
24 leave your sacrifice there beside the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice God.” (Matt 5:33-24)
Having good relationships with others matters a lot to God, because our worship to God and our relationships with others work hand in hand.
1 John 4:20-21 says “ If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? [21] And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
Are there liars in the house? 🙌🙌🙌🙌 .
We need to clean our house by letting go of offences and allow the Holy Spirit to rule in our lives. The way we relate to each other shows how we relate to God. Our worship will be accepted only when we have good relationships with our neighbours.
Why is that so? Because God is all about reconciliation. 2 Cor 5:19 “For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation”.
Matt 25:40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
“…… be reconciled…..”
