“Forty years long was I grieved with [this] generation, and said, It [is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest. (Psalms 95:10-11, KJV)
We may know the deeds of God like healing miracles but not his ways like forgiving people and loving our enemie😄.
David pleaded for God to reveal to him his ways and we know David was a man after God’s own heart. The Bible states he obeyed God in everything except one ( the killing of Uriah) If we want to be a people who delight God, not a generation that grieve God by erring in heart because we don’t know the ways of God, then we must pray like David to know the ways of the Lord.
‘4 Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.’ (Psalm 27:4-5)
“Thus says the Lord: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ ( Jeremiah 6:16)
