“There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”(Luke‬ ‭13‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Jesus was always interested in the “YOU”. He did not just have conversations and forget about the person’s eternal destination, he always brought their minds to their standing with God even when the conversation was casual. He used every opportunity to speak to people about their standing with God. For example in John 3:1- 7 we see Jesus using Nicodemus’ question to address his eternal standing with God.

“There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’”

Jesus was interested in the salvation of all the people he encountered and he is interested in ours. Luke 19:10 says ‘For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Father, thank you that you love me, thank you for sending Jesus to die for me, please come into my heart and be my Lord and saviour. From today, help me to live a life that pleases you.
