“But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made… ” (Luke 10:40a)

Martha wasn’t doing anything “wrong” by serving—but her heart was distracted. Life is full of good things that can still pull us away from the best thing: Jesus Himself.
Busyness can become a burden if it steals your attention from God. We often confuse doing things for Jesus with spending time with Jesus. Both matter, but one must
come first. When you feel restless, stressed, or spiritually dry, it may be a sign that distraction has crept in.

What distracts me most from spending time with God?

How can I set it aside, even for a short while, to refocus on Him?

Prayer:
Lord, I don’t want to be distracted from You. Help me lay
aside my worries and focus on Your presence today.
Amen
