Come boldly

“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are brothers. And don’t call anyone on earth ‘Father,’ for you have only one Father, the one in heaven. Nor are you to be called ‘Teachers,’ for you have only one teacher, the Christ” ( Matthew 23:8-10).

Jesus is teaching about exalting humans in a way that competes with God’s authority in our lives. He taught that, God alone is the source of life, identity, and authority. And that God wants a direct relationship with His children, not one mediated by another human being.

Heb 4:16 says “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

We have access to our father so let us take that bold step and go to him in prayer today.

Happy Sunday
